Financial Security Solutions - RemoteTeller™ System
The RemoteTeller System application is a high-throughput,
cost-effective, personal approach to in-branch banking using
pneumatics and two-way closed circuit television (CCTV).
The RemoteTeller System Concept
The RemoteTeller System is an innovative approach
to transaction processing that can increase productivity
and security while reducing costs and promoting customer
service.
In financial institutions, the RemoteTeller System
uses established technology in a new application that is
intended to bridge the gap between full-service and self-service
financial transactions. It provides customers with assisted
service in conducting their transactions. Simply stated,
RemoteTeller System moves the attributes of drive-up pneumatic
service inside the branch, with enhancements
to make the service more efficient and consumer friendly.
Benefits
* Security
RemoteTeller System can eliminate the need for the
conventional teller line by remotely locating both lobby
(walk-up) and drive-up tellers in a more secured and private
area than where customer units are located. The use of cameras
discourages attempted fraud and allows tellers to verify
transaction information off-camera.
* Reduced facilities expense
The teller can be located in nearby locations or on different
levels where floor space is less expensive.
* Efficiency
Efficiency is optimized since the system allows one to four
tellers to service one to eight customers.
* Marketing
Optional on-screen display of marketing messages increases
revenue and reduces customers' perceived wait-time.
Customer Station Facades
Diebold's patented customer station façades are completely
self-contained, making it possible to quickly install customer
stations in a lobby or anywhere up to 400 feet (122m) from
the teller area. They are uniquely designed to accommodate
all the components of the RemoteTeller System, allowing
complete turnkey installation.
The Silhouette RemoteTeller Customer Station
Diebold's patented customer station facades are completely
self-contained, making it possible to quickly install customer
stations in the lobby.
Just 37.5" (95.25cm) wide, the Silhouette increases
transaction capacity by allowing three Silhouette Facades
to be placed in a space that would accommodate only two
traditional teller windows.
For additional space savings, all customer service and
system maintenance functions are easily accessed from the
front of the unit.
Mounting height is flexible to facilitate compliance with
ADA guidelines.
Integral audio ports promote clear communication between
the customer and tellers through the 816 Audio system.
The counter top is mounted directly to the wall opening
to support up to 100 pounds (45.4 kg).
The unit includes mounting hardware for a camera and 14"
(35.5 cm) monitor.
Accommodates the Diebold Retail 4.5" (11.43cm) pneumatic
system (VAT 21) with overhead tubing.
The gray-colored textured finish of the console and smooth
black granite finish of the built-in counter create a clean,
professional look that is durable and easy to maintain even
under the heaviest use. The thermoplastic materials used
in the station are environmentally friendly, fully recyclable
and provide excellent temperature and moisture resistance
as well as high-impact strength.
The Marquee RemoteTeller Customer Station
Diebold's patented customer station facades are completely
self-contained, making it possible to quickly install customer
stations in the lobby.
To facilitate complete turnkey installation, the Marquee
fits any standard 41" (104cm) by 80.5" (204cm)
door frame opening and can be easily changed from the standard
left-hand swing to a right-hand swing.
The unit opens 90 degrees for easy access to the RemoteTeller
components.
The Marquee includes mounting hardware for a camera and
monitor.
Accommodates the Diebold Retail 4.5" (11.43cm) pneumatic
system (VAT 21) with overhead tubing or the Merchant System
8" (20.32cm) pneumatic system (VAT 30) for heavy payloads.
Integral audio ports and an optional privacy handset promote
clear communication between customer and teller using the
audio communications system.
A model is available that positions the unit to comply
with ADA guidelines for wheelchair accessibility.
Gray textured console and ivory textured surround of the
facade compliment the smooth black star granite finish of
the built-in counter. It is durable enough to maintain its
appearance even under the heaviest of use. The thermoplastic
materials used in the facade are environmentally friendly,
fully recyclable and provide excellent temperature and moisture
resistance as well as high-impact strength
Audio and Video Redundancy Kits
The RemoteTeller System Redundancy Kits provide a
means of manually switching over to a back-up VAT Video
Matrix and/or 816 audio. This allows for uninterrupted
service in the event of failure of the primary audio/video
communications system. This is especially critical in the
RemoteTeller System environment where there are no alternate
methods of communication between tellers and customers.
